heres a little story you might have heard from Frank Thomas but most of us probably have not it goes like this.

The primo miscue of all time in the error prone outfeild of the 1962 New York Mets. Career center- fielder Richie Ashburn was having trouble with young Venezuelan shortstop Elio Chacon. Every time a ball was hit to left short center, Ashburn wouls scream " Igot it!! I got it "" only to collide with the 160 # Chacon. Finally they figured out the problem: Chacon could not speak any english and therefore, didnt realize Ashburn was calling him off. The next the the ball was hit between them. Ashburn would yell" Yo la tengo!! Yo la tengo !!" which is I got it in Spanish. Ashburn was delighted to see Chacon back off. He relaxed, setteled under the ball - and was run over by 200 pound left fielder Frank Thomas who spoke no Spanish.

That is indeed a true story that I verified with Mr. Thomas. As for his card needs, he is all set with the 2010 Topps Update set. He will need help with the 2011 Topps and Heritage sets. Yes, he will "trade" you an autograph for help with his set. Again, I can't thank the community here on The Bench enough for helping Mr. Thomas with his sets.

LOL. Great story!!! He is a great TTMer and it is great that we could help him with his set needs after he has helped so many of us with his auto.

Just let us know when he is ready for them. I plan on buying a box of each when my LCS gets them in.
