This is one of my side projects I have been working on and it comes with a story.. Roy Sievers was 1949 Rookie of the year. i was doing a card show in Springfield Illinois and looked Roy up in the St Louis phone book. I called up and asked if he was Roy Sievers the baseball player and he said yes and we had a real nice 45 minute talk about old time baseball and assorted things. So fast forward to now and I have started this collection of one of every year card of his career signed (cards form 1950 to 1965 17 total mainstream cards). i just picked up a 1951 bowman today

That is really cool....I sent to him a few months ago and got him to sign a 58 Topps that I bought of him at a show.

even at 85 he still signs.. im eyeballing a real nice 58 and just picked up a 59 team card thats signed so i am making slow progress. i kind of like the slabbed ones but I figure I got the toughie (rookie) already so the rest should not be too bad
