Actually, kind of started last night. I had a Shaun Marcum I have been watching for almost 2 months on eBay - hoping the price would go down. Seller chopped it off 40% and I pulled the trigger. Then, just happened to be looking at Beckett Marketplace (something I rarely do) and find two more of the rare Shaun Marcum cards I have been wanting. Got both of those.
I've been watching a 2012 Triple Threads Ruby Patch Autograph 1/1 of Shaun Marcum on eBay the last few days and decide to make another pass after my initial offer on the card was rejected. Was able to meet in the middle on a price this afternoon with the seller and that baby is on it's way to me as well!
It's very rare that I run across four of his cards I need within 24 hours...I'm pumped!
To top it off, we stopped at Target after school to get some cheap packs and my son wanted to use some birthday money to buy a Skylander. We get to the electronics and two of the really rare Skylander figures are sitting there (Thumpback and Eyebrawl if you know who they are). I was hoping for 2012 Elite as I saw it there the other day, but no go. So I grabbed a blaster of 2013 Topps. When I get home, I open up the first pack and right in the middle is the Out of Bounds SP of Bryce Harper. A few packs later, the red parallel of Harper is staring at me. Got some other goodies as well!
