Some of you may remember Rick Bosetti and some of you may not. Today, Bosetti is the mayor of Redding, CA, but back in the day Bosetti was one of the slickest fielders I ever saw. I was at the 'dome back in '77 for a game between the Astros and the Cardinals. Bosetti was a part time outfielder for the Cards at the time. During pre-game warm ups I saw him do something I've never seen anyone else do successfully. He was taking flyball after flyball and literally catching each ball with his glove behind his back. He did that about 20-times in a row without a miss. That was amazing! Even Cesar Cedeno was watching. I saw Cesar do some pretty amazing things in centerfield, but I never saw him do that! I mentioned in my letter to Bosetti what I just shared with you, and he responded with a signed business card that read "Thank you for remembering."
That is just too cool!
