Frank Lucchesi 3/2 5 days (1970 & 1976 Topps. Included Signed Rangers Alumni PC)
4703 Mill Creek Dr.
Colleyville, TX 76034

A heck of a nice guy and a good baseball man. Lucchesi is one of those hard luck manager's who either got saddled with a bad club (such as those early '70's Phillies teams that were rebuilding after the Dick Allen era), or wasn't given much of a chance with club with potential (The mid '70's Rangers comes to mind). Man, the revolving door at Manager in Arlington was ridiculous back in those days. Every year or two there was a new manager at the helm. That club had a lot of young talent, and pitching, but mis-management by the front office kept them out of the post season year after year after year. Lucchesi was a heck of manager, and really deserved more of a chance than he got in Arlington.

I met him several years ago in a card shop in Colleyville...the first Rangers player that I met outside of the ballpark. Definitely a super nice guy. I had no idea who he was when we were talking and he asked if I was a Rangers fan, of course I told him I was and he proceeded to pull out one of his cards from his wallet and sign it for me. Very cool experience. Nice pickup! :)

Nice pickup back in the 70 s the second baseman for the rangers Len dandled I think his name was.. punched lechessi for benching him. Luchessi is a super nice Guy!

congrats..before Lucchesi moved to Colleyville, he lived about 2 mins from me..we walked to his house when i was 10 and got some cards signed..super nice guy, his older son Brian was one of my baseball instructors growing up.
