This is why I think sigs on vintage cards are nicer than stickered jobs that come in packs today. Don't get me wrong, it's fun to pull something like that out of the pack. However, when you get something like these today, it's like holding a piece of football or basketball history and taking a trip down memory lane. In the case of Archibald, I remember the cold winter day I pulled it out of the pack when I got home from the family owned convenience store in town. I can still smell the stale gum. As for the Bednarik, I know another kid did the same thing on a cool Fall day 15 years earlier. I bet the gum was just as stale.
