1952 Topps Mickey Mantle Voted # 1 By Baseball Fans & Collectors

Collectors voted and the countdown has concluded…the # 1 Topps Baseball Card from the past 60 years is the iconic 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle (# 311)

In celebration of 60 years of Topps Baseball Cards, baseball fans and collectors had the chance to go to http://vote.topps.com to vote for their favorite Topps baseball cards of all-time. Voting was up for 30 days and then cards started to count down from number 60 (Mike Schmidt Rookie Card) back in mid-December.

I have 32 of the 60.

One of my favorite cards is the 1973 Roberto Clemente card and has always been one of my favorites.

Thanks for putting the list up.

Have 42, Missing 18 (but I must have cut too many out), mostly big hits. I am pretty sure the Winfield Washington card is a CTNW though, so nobody has one.

As usual MrMopar is correct. there was a washington variation for McCovey but not for Winfield.

And I think that CTNW stands for Cards That Never Were.

I have 26 of the 60 listed but will be getting the Schmidt rookie soon so that will be 27.

Yes on Mr. Mopar. I have have 29 of the 60 because there was no Winfield Washington version. I have all of those in my collection and he isnt there. Nice list but I still think that 1975 Oscar Gamble (remember the hair) should be there.

Thanks,

Jeff

The 89 Griffey is vastly overrated and I wouldn't put the massive joke known as the 07 Jeter on there (gimmick cards like that need to disappear NOW). Good list otherwise.

I have 7 of them, haha.
