Topps 206 MLB - 2010​

20 packs - 9 cards per pack
'Two Autographs and/or Relics Per Box!'

I received the following:

135 unique base cards - 45% of the base set of 300

Players in the base set are all pictured with their caps off - except J. Boubon #242 - what's up with that? The set consists of players of yesteryear - Ruth, Chance, Tinker, Munson, etc. along with the rookies and players of today.

INSERTS

Bronze Parallels

18 different bronze parallels
The parallels are printed on card stock that is 2-3 times thicker than the regular base.

Short Prints

5 SP's

Maybe I have missed them, but I cannot find a number on these cards. One must have the checklist (see 206 SP Checklist post) to determine what number you have.... The SP's are very easy to spot - they are printed on white stock and the reverse is stark - only the player's last name.

Mini Parallels

I received one mini in each pack.

Topps 206 is a good issue for both the younger collector and the vet. The younger folks can learn from the historical cards and from the stars/veterans from years gone by and the veteran collectors can be reminded of many of the players that some of us grew up with.

The autos - ON THE CARD!!!!!!! --- YES!!!!! very good. They look great! Thank you Topps!

Draw back - the number of different mini parallels... wow - how hard is one of those sets going to be complete??? Only someone with a great deal of time and probably deep pockets will be able to complete one of these.

SP's.... still don't know why there is no number on the reverse.

Overall grade A-- need numbers on SP's and too many choices for mini back parallels.

Go buy a bunch of boxes and send the Rays - regular, bronze, and all the different mini's to me!

Now if only Target could get these blasters in stock, and not be TAMPERED!!

Supposedly that hat's on cards are sps besides the nno base.

Thanks for the great writeup, Duane. I've enjoyed building the 206 sets back to 2002 and will continue to do so. I have yet to see that the 'cap on' SPs come in the mini form, and I'm happy about that.
