Topps Series 2 - M L B​

36 packs - 10 cards per pack
One auto or one relic in every hobby box

I received these:

295 unique base cards and only 1 duplicate!! (MUCH better than the jumbo box I purchased!!)



Following in the footsteps of Series One -- the design is still sharp and the cards look very good. Collation of the cards received is very good, receiving 84% of the base set (did not get a card #616 - Kris Bryant in this box.....)

The Topps set builder should be relatively happy with the hobby box - if your collation is as good as this one. One will receive a number of gold parallels that can be traded to complete the base set - otherwise, it should be easy enough to pick up some blasters or another hobby box to complete the set.

These are very thick and sepia toned cards.... they look fantastic! Might be a great set to put together... There are #ed gold parallels to 99 in this insert as well.

2 inserts that I have not received in either a hobby box or a jumbo are the 2 I like the best -- the silver framed cards (numbered to 20) and the clear acetate cards - numbered to just 10. If anyone gets one of the Rays in either of these 2 inserts - let's see what we can work out in a trade. Also, one can find manufactured relics - such as bat knobs - in black, pink and wood colors - each numbered, pins of various kinds, along with the sparkle variants, and the picture variants. The variants or SP's will have a different 'code #' in mice type on the bottom of the reverse of the card.

Overall grade A

Go buy several boxes and send the Rays parallels to me - golds, foils, black, pink, SP's, (I believe the Rays started reading their press clippings - now we are in 3rd - looking up.... dang it! It was a good ride for a while!!!)
