I received these:
315 unique base cards - 95% of the base set
Series 2 as always is a continuation of the Topps base set. This one does not disappoint. The front is again glossy, with a full bleed action photo, and the logos, name, etc does not interfere with the photograph. The reverse is not quite a matte finish, but not glossy either. In my opinion, one of the best attributes of the base set is the inclusion of the entirety of a player's stats (even though some end up in mice type.) I enjoy looking at a player's history with the game.
For the set collector, this is a must buy. 2 hobby boxes should get you more than enough to complete the base set with a ton of inserts remaining - who knows, you might just pull one of those 1/1's????

Series 2 is a good mixture of base and inserts. I did not receive any of the variations... dang it! There are a number of parallels as well - pink, cammo, etc to chase.
Overall grade A+
Go buy several boxes and send the basement dwelling Rays parallels to me....
