Hello everyone,

I have a question. Is there any trade value for "redeemed" Topps give away cards? I'm talking about the last few years "million card give-away" etc. etc. Do people collect these? Or, is it tied to who was unlocked (when redeemed)?

Thank you.

Chris

It all depends. Most people seem to like them for the codes, but there are player collectors (like myself) who have picked up the cards for the player pictured.

I paid .18 for my Schmidt redeemed card on Sportlots, instead of the $3 someone wanted for an unredeemed card.

Have to agree that redeemed give away cards do have some value with collectors. The best example would be the 2001 spx redemption card of Albert Pujols.....still goes for quite a bit of cash! Best regards, David

I used to collect them back in the 90s and there were many, many different types. They sometimes has played pictured, but often it was just a logo, design or something else. For example, Fleer basketball had redemption cards that needed to be mailed in for the lottery picks that year. One design I remember was lottery balls with numbers on them.

If players are pictured, there will always have some level of collecting value, even if the plain ones do not. The really nice prizes from a redemption card carry higher value too. I tried finding an unredeemed, but expired, card from the 1994 Score R/T series for the Arod call-up card (I have the actual card and thought the unredeemed card would go well with it), but it was always way too much for what it was, an expired redemption card!
