Hello Set Collectors,

In many instances I have significant interest in acquiring complete sets via trade. I have a wide variety of tastes in sets, from vintage to the more recent brands, to food issue stuff. Sometimes, I would even like to trade for what some would call "junk" sets (90s stuff). The problem is always the postage...it's darn expensive these days to mail off 800 cards!

So I got to thinking...maybe I have an extra set (even the low value ones) that someone else wants and vice versa?? But, how to get the word out? Could all interested parties simply list their extra sets or starter lots for trade somewhere here on The Bench? Maybe, I'd be willing to mail off a set I don't want anymore to another collector for someone else's "junk" set. In these cases, just maybe the postage will make sense both ways.

So, if anyone is interested in listing extra sets that they have available for trade? If so, post them here (or somewhere else on the site) and who knows, maybe someone will be a match!

Chris

Extra Sets I have For Trade:

2007 Topps Baseball
1992 Topps Stadium Club Baseball
2001 Topps Baseball
2000 Topps Football
1989 Topps Traded (have several)
1989 Fleer Baseball
1997 Topps Baseball
1987 topps Baseball
1983 Topps Baseball
1989 Topps Baseball (have several)
1981 Topps Baseball

Two disclaimers:

If this belongs in another forum, feel free to let me know. I thought it was more of "talk" than actual trade offerings.

I'm not looking to land a 1952 Topps set here, unless you insist! :)

Chris - great idea; I feel the same.....don't always feel real good about sending out 600+ cards in exchange for singles I need (with even value) due to postage costs.....but sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do!

Here are my baseball sets for sale/trade (pm me if you want full descriptions on condition, etc):
1976 Topps (hand collated)
1978 Topps (hand collated)
1979 Topps (hand collated)
1986 Topps Factory
1987 Topps Factory
1988 Donruss (hand collated)
1991 Donruss Series 2 (hand collated)

Various 90's/00's sets I'm looking for:
1995 Topps Series 2
1995 Topps Update
1997 Topps
1999 Topps
2003 Bowman Heritage
2002-2005 Topps Heritage

Regards, Jim

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the response. I am hoping others will jump in the thread and respond. I do have that 1997 Topps baseball set. LMK if we can start talking about a trade?
