Trading to complete late 70's sets BB/BK/FB

Hi all! New member here trying to finish off some late 70's sets I've been working on for a while. Would be glad to search wantlists, but would also trade lots of minor-to-mid-level stars at a premium over Beckett in return for what I need. Most of my highest-grade trading stock is from 1978-1985 baseball (all brands, but kinda light on 1985 and 1986 Donruss/Fleer) and football, but there's a decent amount of EX+ going back to around 1972.

If you have a sharp centered 77 Payton or 77 Munson with no printing defects that you'd part with, I have photos posted in my album of just a small amount of the cards I have available, and I would aggressively trade for these two cards. I'd deal from that box for the 76 Rice and 78 Payton too, but I don't think they have the kind of chronic PD's that the 77 cards have. Thanks for looking!

Anyone who has a Beavis avatar is al;right in my book. It is good to see someone else here appreciates high brow humor besides me! This new member should be taken off Bench Warmer status and placed imediately into the Bench Hall of Fame!!

I should do pretty well on your want lists but won't to be able to hit them until this Thanksgiving weekend. I do have the last 1980-81 Topps Basketball card you need which I have set aside for you so you can consider that set done.

I also took a quick look at the 1978 Fleer Football needs and I have about 800 dups of those. Believe it ot not, I had only 2 copies of #63 but they were way off center horizontally about 85/15 and did not think you'd want those.. Incredibly, I did not have a #3 in this large lot of dups.

I can help you on both sports but will probably do better on the football. I'll see what you still neecd this upcoming weekend and go from there.

Hey Dillhole, I won't be able to hit your want lists for a few days but I know off the top of my head a few want lists for some late 70s sets if you may have any of these.

1979 Topps Football (low grade set) 429 Danny White and 469 Cowboys Team Ldrs.

1977 Topps Baseball (NM set): I need about half the team cards with the checklists on the backs unmarked. I picked up a NM 1977 set recently outside of 10-15 marked team checklists.. I'd have to get the card numbers on those for you since I lost my original upgrade list. If you have any of those that fit my condition requireents, I'll be glad to make a new want lists since I need to do that anyway.

I saw a post of yours that said you have 200 Tony Gywnn RCs. Is that true or close to true?

If we make a trade, we can meet at either the Maxi-Mart or Burger World. I'll be able to ID you since you'll be wearing your ubiquitous Winger tee shirt.

I clear the bar, but not by much. 3 in my PC 1983 sets (Donruss/Topps/Fleer), 14 in additional hand sets, 73 more Topps singles, 67 of Fleer, 46 Donruss, 1 O-***-Chee, plus another 0-4 TBD that may or may not be in boxes that are just too hard to get into right now puts the expected total somewhere between 204 and 208. (EDIT: Apparently, the net nanny doesn't like the full name of the OPC brand! LOL!)

Apparently the website is threatening you!! I recently jokingly posted that YouTube was my favorite website with the exception of certain "corn" sites.......... except my term began with a "P". And like you, I got the 4 asterisk treatment. Who knew this site did not like the letter P? Whoever created that censorship program for this site was a real butt munch.

Well with that many Gywnn RCs you'll never run out of tradebait for me.. I'm always interested in prominent RCs from that 1982-1985 era if you don't have any of my specific needs. I'll have some info on what I have for you in the next few days.

I am in the process of following the trail of Mr. Riders post trail to see exactly where I am after six days of being unable to respond as quickly as I like, and came across your post. You Sir, are most correct. Anyone who can not only praise the and genuflect the knowledge and wisdom of the almighty B &B duo most certainly should be sitting upon the highest throne. i just saw what the 2002 topps baseball set looks like and i might have a bunch of those too. i have a partial set in a binder i picked up from who knows where. grade i'm looking for on 78s are vg+ i'd say. when i get some free time i'll get a list together.
i collect Mattinglys and I only have 3 of those plus an old OG counterfeit

Welcome, shig! On my to-do list tonight is to go through this thread and my PM box and list out all the pending trades I've got in the works and who wants what. I've gone from having a nicely neatly stored collection to having monster boxes and little stacks of cards everywhere as I'm setting stuff aside for various trades. Also I don't think I have anyone pulling 77T Football for me, so if you've got any high-grade cards there -- especially a Payton -- we can deal! Same if you have enough to put together starter sets or near sets in high grades for 1968-75 football. I can deal for some of that too.
