I was at a yard sale near my house and noticed a framed letter that had Connie Mack Day on it. It was a benefit game between the Philadelphia A's and the North Brookfield Armortreads on July 10th 1934. It was a game to honor Martin Bergen and Frank Bird ( two great baseball players from other days. Next to it in the frame is a personal letter to a person names Mr. Drake confirming the game and at the bottom it is signed by Connie Mack and the top is dated July 6th 1934. I paid 15.00 for the piece. Does anybody think it was worth the 15.00?

Thanks.

Absolutely! A great deal, but even better is a unique and very cool piece of baseball history. Nice find, post a scan if you get a chance, I love seeing old letters like that.

I am very computer illiterate when it comes to posting pictures and stuff like that. Is it bad that I have to wait until my kids get home to figure out things like that? When they get home I will see if they can figure it out and post a picture.
