Vin Scully update

Wrote to Vin Scully about 10 days ago, and got reply today. Got corporate letter from Dodgers and Vin saying he doesn't have time to sign all the mail he gets and regrets it. It was just a form letter copied many times. Nice letter but disappointing. I did get back long time Dodger Bill Russell on a '73 Topps in 11 days, Denny Doyle on '71 Topps in 50 days and Bobby Wine on a '71 Topps in 40 days. So all in all not too bad. Would have loved to have gotten Vin a Hall of Fame broadcaster but oh well. Good luck.

I tried Vin last season and got the same letter. I was planning on taking my kids on the tour of the stadium as you get to stop by the broadcasting booth. Vin loves kids and if he's there, we might have an opportunity. I do not see him signing locally much these days.

That's a shame but to be expected. He's a baseball treasure, and I'm glad he's still doing the home games. He still sounds great!
