PErsonally I am not sure if it will spike that much, He's Derek Jeter after all, His stuff seems to sell pretty high already. IDK, Maddux Autos havent spiked much after he retired and hes a for sure HOF'er, Theres less people selling Maddux Autos now, but they still sell in the 80-100 Cash range for a normal Auto made in decent numbers smae as they did when he was still playing.

I agree with Nick. I can't imagine there will be any appreciable difference in selling now versus at the milestones. Everyone knows he's going to reach those milestones. He's about the most collected player on the planet. I doubt there would be anyone that would decide at those times that they want to add a Derek Jeter auto to their collection and drive the prices up beyond where they would normally be.

Definitely when he's about to get 3,000 hits. There usually isn't much of a spike around a player's retirement and by the time he gets inducted into the HOF he'll be retired and out of the spotlight for 5 years.

Maybe everyone knows that the 3,000th hit is coming, but he'll be the first Yankee to reach that milestone and the Pinstripe hype machine will be in full force for him.

I would look at moving it now for the same reasons listed above plus this historical example.

When I was a teenager I collected Nolan Ryan cards like crazy and always wanted his RC. My friends back in the day were always after me to pick one up because once he goes into the HOF it will be much higher in value. I never bought one and now several years latter I think the BV has actually gone down after he went into the hall.

Whatever you decide I hope it works out for you!

thanks guys for all the great advice. would love to flip if for a good price because i have my eye on some dodger autos i need!
