Why does it not let my reply?

When i want to reply to someone it shows a gray box were the you should be able to reply. Please help. Thanks, Isaac,

Did you click "reply" or "reply with a quote" first?

or just type in the quick reply box and click "post quick reply" like this

This happens to me from time to time. I have an older computer and sometimes that seems to be the issue. I restart my computer when it happens and it seems to work after that.

Not sure it will help but it is worth a try.
