Also not a high-end buyer so for me pulling a Mike Trout Update Cognac from a pack of cards at the Dollar Tree absolutely blew my mind!
My other big pull was when I was 16 and pulling a Topps Gallery Players Private Issue Griffey, the prize of my PC for quite awhile back then (even before I got a hold of the UD rookie).

2 real nice ones, and I still have both:

a) I bought a lot from someone on Beckett (I know, sorry) and when I got the lot, he had shorted me a LOT of the cards he promised. I was ticked. After an email flame war, I put the cards away and forgot about them. One of the things in the lot was an already opened pack of 2003 Bowman Draft. Months later, I went and looked at the cards again. The Bowman Draft pack had a chrome card.....hmmm....it's actually a refractor! Cool! Now who is this player.....

Robinson Cano. Yup, he tried to rip me off and sent me the 2003 Cano BCDP refractor RC. I still have it. (It's yours for the right price )

b) Back when I was collecting Rafael Palmeiro (I know, sorry again) I went to a card shop to see what he had. I was trying to collect 500 different Palmeiros. I found a bunch I didn't have and asked what his price was. I knew from what others told me that he was high priced. So when he quoted me, I thought, and said, "Throw in a pack of the 2004 Topps Cracker Jack and it's a deal". He nodded, and went to get a pack of the Cracker Jack, and handed it to me. Upon opening, I went through the cards and....this is weird, this card is really thin. I didn't see anything about really thin cards in Cracker Jack...

Yup, I had just pulled a 1915 Cracker Jack Hal Janvrin. 90 year old card, complete with caramel stains from the Cracker Jack. And no, that one's not available

Pulled this today

2015 Topps Gypsy Queen Framed Mini Auto George Springer,Astros $100.00

Pic can be seen over on the box breaks nice pulls section of the bench

Split a case of 2013 Bowman Draft with a buddy. In the VERY FIRST pack I opened, I got a Kris Bryant AFLAC AU /225, which I promptly sold for $400, easily covering my portion of the case!

I bought a hobby box in 2012 and pulled a 1 of 1 by the letter Miguel Cabrera card. I traded it to another member on here and got 300.00 in trades for the card.

Pulled a few nice autos in the past , but guess these 2 were the nicest ......

I think of these two as my best pulls ever. Each has a story attached:

2004-ttcs-hwagner-a.jpg

200304-udexg-lebron-a.jpg

For the Honus, I had been bugging my LCS for months about when it was coming in. When it finally did, they gave me first crack at it. First pack...HONUS!

For the Lebron, my GF and I had just come back from the casino where she had won quite a bit. Since I was nice enough to drive her the 3 hours roundtrip, she gave me some money to go buy any box of cards I wanted. It was just about enough to buy 2003-04 Exquisite, so that is what I did.

More recently, until last year I have never, ever pulled a Griffey rookie out of anything. Even when we were playing pack wars with 1989 Donruss early last year I would never get the Griffey. Got a lot grief over this. When 2014 Donruss came out, I bought a box and started cracking it in the shop. As I'm opening packs, I notice, hey there is a buyback auto in here. Looked at the name on the card and told the owner, "Give me a 35pt one touch. I'm not even touching this card". The buyback auto was 1989 Donruss #33 Griffey, auto #9/9.

All of these are in my PC and aren't going anywhere because of the story attached to each.

Bonus best pull I never got story: Back in 2001, I got a redemption for a Rookie Relic TRR-PF Pedro Feliz. Back then, you had to mail them in, so I did that within a month or two of the product being released. Got back a letter from Topps something like: We're sorry, but the card you wanted is out of stock. Please accept this replacement instead. What was it? Rookie Relic TRR-AP Albert Pujols. I'll tell you, 14 years later, I'm STILL looking for that Feliz relic (and the Ed Rogers one). I think I've seen two Rogers on Ebay in that time. Never seen the Feliz one. Still, having the Pujols relic caused me to buy the relic set. I also went on to build the retrofractor set. Took years, but it was fun to do.

Last year this happened:

http://comcadventures.blogspot.com/2014/08/holy-ripping-ginter-batman.html

Pulled a Yogi Berra/Whitey Ford /5 Rip Card and a Freddie Freeman 1/1 Wood Mini in the same box.

Some of my better pulls:
2008 Heroes Patch Auto Albert Pujols (I pulled a ton of nice Patches/Autos from this product)
2012 Leaf Memories Buyback Nolan Ryan Auto /34
2014 Tek - Mark McGwire Red Auto /10, Gregory Polanco Blue Diffractor /5

From a Bowman Retail Blaster, I pulled an Orange Autograph Refractor of Billy Hamilton - I think I sold it for $600 or so.

I'm sure there are others, but these are some that stick out to me.

I guess I have few cards that could be considered my best pull from a pack:

2010 Topps Triple Threads Autographs Relic Gold Stephen Strasburg /25 - Sold it on Ebay for $430.00
2014 Topps Museum Collection Primary Pieces Quad Relic Autographs #PPARJSM John Smoltz (10/10) - In my PC
2008 Topps Triple Threads Relics Combos Autographs Sepia #12 Dale Murphy/Tony Gwynn/Darryl Strawberry (26/27) - In my PC
2013 Topps Tier One Autographs Copper Rose Ink #KGJ Ken Griffey Jr. EXCH /25 - Currently in my photobucket for trade
