I had a lot of personal successes this year. I got back Doerr, and Whitey Ford, Al Kaline, and Ernie Banks. I got to meet Pete Rose Jr, and a favorite race car driver Mark Martin. Al Rosen was another great success as well as Carl Erskine. I had a lot of fun this year with my collection, but the best moment was getting to meet and talk to Gail Harris. He wasn't a superstar player for the NY Giants or Detroit Tigers, but he played in more games than I ever will and against the greats, Mantle, Berra, Mays, Musial. He gave me a picture of him and Yogi together, and I got him to sign a bat for me. He also hit the last homerun for the old NY Giants in the Polo Grounds. He had a story about every player I mentioned. It was an incredible time to hear some stories of players most people only get to read about.

for this year I am hoping to get Don Money... Now most might think well that's kinda strange but here is the story. My first year of collecting was 1980, and I do have quite a few of those cards signed in my set. (Castino, Tommy John, Andre Dawson, Tug McGraw, Dave Goltz, Roy Smalley.) The reason I want Money is because that was the first card I remember pulling out of my first pack, and being that I was only 7.5 years old at the time, I thought this guy has a very cool name. (can't go wrong with Money) and he is going to be at the 1982 Brewers 30th anniversary signing @ Waukesha Sports Cards at the end of this month.
