Wow, turf and everything!
Love the Phanatic auto too, I guess the mascot existed in 1980, so no "set" would be complete without him!

The thing is there is a new guy who does him. i had to track down the orginal guy to get his auto.
Aslo the next year 9or so) they were giving away those turf things atr a ganme. i had to be there for that! I did get 2 but I lost one

Oh wow! I was thinking that might be the case...who'd still be able to work as a mascot 30 years later? That makes your collection even more exciting.

Some of those are very tough to track down. I was fortunate to meet Tug McGraw in 2002, so that's one relatively tough auto for my 1969 Mets collection that I won't need to find. Still, there are others like Gil Hodges that will be very tough.

Yea. he now runs some sort of thing where they do shows and all for kids.
The Tug McGraw I went to a show to his auto. I got the card and 8 by 10. he was very nice and talked to me and played with my niece for a bit. Very nice guy.
The Larry Bowa on another hand made me mad. I paid for his auto. got in line for 10 minutes. When I got to him he never even looked at me. just talked to his friend the entire time and didn't even thank me.
