2012 Topps is out!

Not the best design they ever had
I dont like this at all.
How can they have 2012 cards, a set for the new season, and the players have not even came to Spring training camp yet.
All the cards are, are photoshoped or pictures from last season.
I enjoy the old sets when they used to take pictures during ST.
I cant stand it!!!
But I am sure I will buy a blaster, or 2, or 3+

Older cards had a ton of photoshopped (or airbrushed) hats/jerseys too, it's nothing new in baseball cards.
To me, the release of these cards each year are the first sign that baseball season is coming. That's why I like them so much.

I really hope my Target has them tomorrow, I get a little baseball-card crazy around this time of year. I gotta have 'em!
How long have you been collecting? When I was a kid in the late 80's the sets would come out even earlier, before Christmas of the prior year. January 30 is late compared to that. Series 2 will catch the guys in their new unis.
Oh and some auctions are up on eBay already the Golden Moments parallel looks pretty cool http://www.ebay.com/itm/2012-Topps-...0946332512?pt=US_Baseball&hash=item3cc19d0b60. And it looks like the end of Topps Gold, none to be seen

I guess I am just "wishful thinking".
The whole idea that there are 2012 cards before the players even play in 2012 is what I don't like.
The cards look fine, and I promise that I will be buying and collecting them.
I have only been collecting for about 6 years, and I had no idea about the air brush before photoshop.

Amen!! Busting the first pack of Topps wax is like the first pitch to me! Usually means spring isn't to far off...except right now, it seems like spring with the current temps!!
Can't wait for the UPS guy to gently and lovingly place my boxes on my front porch!

Crazy prices on the squirrel. Wonder what other surprises will be found in the packs this year!!

I should have my jumbo box early in the week. I havent hit Target or Wal Mart yet. Not sure if I am going to or not but I might to grab a little trade bait.
