Sent this question:

I've got to ask...how did the cards get ripped?

His response:

I ripped them, they lost most of their value and I can't
get what other
people are getting for them. When I try trade them for
something else I can
sell, all I tend to get is comman cards offered to
me not worth the cost of
shipping. My friend is sending the best
conditioned ones to get PSA graded.
I left ones intact that were about in
NM-MT condition and ripped everything
else to shorten the print run.

I
am not lowering the price so some cheapskate and rejoice over getting it

for $0.99. I would rather rip the card then give it to them and pay the
ebay
fee on top of that. The $0.99centers are a very rude society of
people, when
you don't give it to them for practically free they get mad.
Sometimes
ripping cards has helped me sell the duplicate cards. I send
the pieces
along as proof of their destruction.

When I tell people I a
selling these for an orphanage in India a great deal
get mad. Even though
I provide the charity info they "refuse" to investigate
to see if it is
legit. People just want to assume things without looking at
the
facts.

When I buy to resell I don't expect everything for $0.99. I try
to give
people a fair prices for anything.

Around 20 years ago, when I was a little kid, I was with a friend at a card shop. One of the workers was flipping through a binder and we were asking him how much cards were. After a few cards, he reached a Larry Walker rc, quoted his high bv and then flipped when we didn't buy it. Took the card out and ripped it up in front of us. I wonder if he's related?

Wow sounds like that guy had some anger problems!

Crazy stuff! If you rip a card worth a penny....it does not made the next same card worth more...its still only worth a penny, not $1.00! Best regards, David
