Does anyone know why Beckett is doing this?

So I bought a couple of high number Heritage from Target a week or so ago and when I went to put them in my organize on Beckett the Witt and Julio Rodriguez were marked with the (RC) designation. Now, keep in mind there are rookies who appeared in series one that now have cards in update or Heritage high number that are still shown as a regular RC, so why change it for the two hottest rookies of the year? Both high series and update are fairly recent releases so it doesn't make sense that they would say those are not rookies.

This is odd. 2021 cards cannot be considered a RC for those players, they should be prospect cards. Technically, a card cannot be considered an RC until the player plays in the Majors. This was changed in 2006. If you remember the reason the Alex Gordon was SP because it was an error that they put the RC logo on the card.

Beckett just makes it up as they go.

They've been doing this all year with Wander Franco rookies.

Not only that but I'm pretty sure the update and archives are not listed as such
