I never knew how they came. That is interesting. All of mine are detatched. I was also wondering how these were distributed. I thought they were inside cereal boxes but I see they were inserted into magazines.. What a great find and obviously a great buy!!

Beckett has the Maris list at 30 bucks, and the Mantle at 200. And that is in ungraded condition. Quite the deal for a buck!
Did Beckett's give different values for the Ad versions and the box versions of those cards??
Yes. The Maris cards were both the same price. As were the Mantles. I would have guessed the Ad ones would be a little rarer. Interestingly enough Maris had 39 cards issued in 1962 and Mantle only had 29.
picked up the most iconic of all 70s traded cards at the LCS yesterday.
His 1970 Topps RC is extremely hard to come across. I think most of it has to do with him being famous for his huge Afros. His RC was the last one I needed to finish my 1970 set and it took forever for me to get one.
Thanks for the info on the Mantle/Maris Post cards. That stat of Maris having more cards in 1962 is quite a factoid!
I also don't post much for Football but this was another pick up from Saturday. 72 Topps Fred Biletnikoff. Heck of a player and a cool name as well.

Was that Lester Hayes in the Super Bowl against the Eagles where he looked like his uniform was dirty even though it was played in the Super Dome cause he had so much sticker on his body? Helmet and everywhere. Which eventually led to the outlawing of stickem

Always thought these were the coolest thing around!
I never knew they existed until a few months ago... '99 was around the time I stopped collecting for a while. Nervous to try putting it in my computer cuz it doesn't have that round thing that holds the cd, it's just a tray now. Would probably get stuck in there with my luck!
I didn't know they still make machines with the CD rom drive........I haven't had one for 10 years or so........Hell, I just switched from USB-B to USB-C just last year and that was a pain........
