Last of the die cuts.....for now! I was standing in line at an autograph show in Milwaukee sometime in the mid 90s for a Spahn auto, overheard a couple guys talking about a short conversation they had with him about a statue put up of him....he said, "My nose is too big and my(something else) is too small"....I'll probably forget who my kids are before I lose that memory....VIVA LA DIECUT!!!

Exactly! It's like the art department or design people just phoned it in.........
That recent post about Gene Brabender was inadvertantly posted on this topic. It was supposed to be in the Back Room topic about the most iconic player for each MLB Franchise and I could not help but add the Pilots to the mix, lol

remember a time when Topps wasn't completely lazy and did not use the same design for every sport?
They have been doing it for years.
59 baseball is largely based on 58 football.
61 football and baseball are very similar.
65 football is identical to 64 hockey
66 football is the same as 66 hockey.
69-70 hockey has the same backs as 70 baseball.

While true, I was talking about the 92 to current that blatantly are the exact same design

Big Ups to Jeff!! What a great card! Need 2 others to complete the 4-card 'set'... and with my ADCD (Attention Deficit Card Disorder) it may take a little while. I can't just complete one set at a time... or try adding to any set I'm working on sometimes! I know I should be adding to sets, but the pull of other cards over-rides that thought process. It's in the DSM-5... look it up!! lol

Completely forgot he started in Indy! Just doesn't seem right if he's not wearing Black and Red... that's the only team I associate with him...

It's funny that you mention that. I happened to look up his stats after I posted this card. I remember him starting as a Colt and then going to the Falcons, but did you know that he played for 5 teams after he left Atlanta in 1994 until he retired after the 2000 season? Without looking it up, can anyone name any of the 5 other teams that Rison played for? I know I couldn't!

Michigan State!

I'm thinking the Raiders were one of the NFL teams.

I seem to remember him playing for Green Bay at one time, but that's all I can remember.

I want to say he played a year or two in Buffalo also...

The team I TOTALLY forgot about was right after his time in Atlanta. I'll give a hint. The team that signed him overpaid him so much that it caused a major event in the NFL.

Had to look that one up... was it the most desperate team in the league to win a Championship? ...besides my Cowboys....lol
