I have decided to continue the game for 2025. Last year's players have already received an invitation. There is no automatic renewal. The invitation must be accepted, or you can use the manual sign up which I will provide instructions. The game is open to everyone that is a member of The Bench. Others will be accepted at my discretion. The season starts on September 4. Signup anytime, even after that. But missing weeks will hurt your chances. Of the 18 weeks, your two worst score will be thrown out for your season total.
The top three finishers on the overview page will be awarded prizes for the season. I will not continue the bonus prize, but in its stead, the high score for each week will get a prize. The weekly winner will be the first name on the list for each week that will appear on the Group Picks page. The first prize for the season will be a Mike Schmidt auto card #/25. The weekly winner will get a nice card. It will be something of a top star. I already have a supply of cards for Judge, Acuna, Ohtani, Soto & Tatis. The season will run for the 18-week regular season.
Tie breakers are important, especially with a weekly prize. Tie breakers must be entered before the first game of the week. I don't know the exact logic of how the tie breakers are applied. But they are critical for the prizes. Picks for each game must be entered 5 minutes prior to the start of the first game of the week. I don't know if the five-minute rule applies to tie breakers.
