Not sure where the Topps QA Department was with this one, but they sure did a terrible job butchering his name.

I wonder if all his 84 Topps cards are spelled that way uncorrected error or are some spelled correctly and those are hard to find or is the one you have the harder one to pull

All the ones I saw on eBay are spelled wrong also. Probably another poor-quality control job on their part. I wonder if Yaz knows, lol. It's 2024 Topps Archives, so they should have his spelling correct in their database of names?

It is a hard name to spell so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.........Yes he's been around forever and they've made thousands of his cards, but Carl has probably run into this his whole life...........My name isn't as complicated as his but people and businesses screw it up all the time.........Imagine trying to pronounce it if you never heard of him...........

Being of the same ethnicity as Yaz with a hard to spell name myself, I'd have no chance of spelling that correctly without looking it up. I've known about him since 1966 and would never have caught that spelling error. I just call him Yaz to be on the safe side! LOL
