9 years in the league... Drafted by Chiefs in same draft as Mahomes. Great Rookie year, decent 2nd year.... then sent to the basement, but still held his own. Made his way back to K.C. and is contributing like a seasoned vet should. Honestly I didn't know he was still in the league until I heard his name during a Chiefs game last year...

This pains me to say this, but I have to admit I think your Harrison collection is way better than what my Irvin collection ever was. I had about 1,200 Irvins at one point. About 40 autos, 60 mem cards, don't know how many numbered... and tons of regular inserts and base. The depth of your collection is very impressive! Wish I could have kept up with all the Irvins that come out every year... but ya, I really like the collection you've put together so far!!
Because I just don't know if our resident Harrison fan is also a Colts fan... Found this #'d Marcus Pollard from 2001 Score 419/429.
1997 Sight Night at the Dome. It kills me, that even with regional issues, the Twins were rarely pictured in their home uniforms. The 87 to 2010 home white pinstripes were great, but I'm partial to the 76 to 86 whites with the old school scarlet script logo.

I know the autos are around 55, mem cards are probably over 250? Up in Minneapolis visiting an old friend, when I get back I'll have to an actual count.....I know Marvin Harrison had cards after he retired, but I concentrate on 96-08.....Thats awesome! Not sure i want to hear the actual numbers... might make me jealous! lolIt's a labor of love!
Have you met Mr. Harrison? I met Michael Irvin a few times, kinda wish I hadn't... kind of a jerk. He's joking with you, but makin fun of you at the same time...

In Irvin's defense I did look ridiculous... went to an autograph show and got about 12 autos on a full size helmet. Before I went I planned out where I wanted each of the players to sign. The only way I thought I'd remember was to write the name of the player on painters tape and put it where they would sign. While in line I took that player's tape off and rubbed it with my undershirt just incase... so when I got to Irvins table I still had like 7 pieces of blue tape on the helmet. He said I was like one of those killers in CSI sitting in a dark basement alone planning and scheming.
After he quit makin fun of me and signed I walked behind him to get back to the crowd. As I walked behind him he turned around and and gave me a brother hand shake, like, "I'm just messin with you, we cool."
Thing about it is, though, he probably forgot about it in 5 minutes. I'll remember for the rest of my life!

That's kinda like when I met Jack Morris the first time I went to TwinsFest. in 1996 they decided to hold it at the Mall of America instead of the Metrodome, because the Twins used to play at Metropolitan Stadium which sat at the sight of the MOA. I had won tickets at the teams Winter Caravan stop in my hometown and decided to go with my brother. My first thought was to try to accquire a Kirby signature so we looked at the map and headed to to 3rd floor Sears store where he was signing. Each group only signed for a couple hours but about 20 min in to Puck's session the line wound all through the Sears store, out into the hallway and half way around the 3rd floor. Needless to say I did not get Kirby that day. Fast forward to the end of the day a group in the amusement park area included Tommy John (former tv play by play guy) Jack Morris and others. I handed Jack a 1990 Upper Deck, he started to sign it in ballpoint pen, realized it wasn't going to show up very well, grabbed a black sharpie, and signed over the ballpoint. He kind of grunted tossed the card to me and as i went to pick it up, my thumb hit the still wet signature smearing it just a little. What a dick.

But seriously... they say to never meet your heroes. The other Cowboys players couldn't have been nicer! Bob Lilly got upset at himself for messing up on his signature (dried marker) and actually apologized... Bob Lilly apologized to me!! Rayfield Wright was the nicest guy out of all of them. I wasnt able to get Emmitt's sig cuz of price but I watched for a little while and he shook everyone's hand and smiled. If I didn't look like a tool walking around with a bunch of blue tape on my helmet I bet me and Mike would have had a great little conversation. I wore his jersey and ironed on the 3 S.B. Patches. One on each shoulder area and one right below the NFL shield on the collar.
If a player had done to me what he did to you I might have been tempted to just tell him you keep it, or rip it in half where he could see.
So are you going to tell us who these people are? I'm guessing the tall, black guy with the gray beard is Rayfield Wright. Not sure about the others. The guy in the white #88 jersey looks familiar. Think I saw him on America's Most Wanted or on the Post Office Wall.
