Day 2 of the show! A lot of card bros slobbering over the Yamamoto I have, but holding out for a Godfather offer! They already beat me up over a few Guerrero jr autos, but what can you do 🤷
So u want a guarantee? No more attempts on on your father's life?

EDIT** Dumb attempt at a joke. Especially with one of the best movies of all time... and best scenes of all time.
I just woke up... thought it was funny. Nope!!
My bad!

I've got my tri-fecta of wants for Staubach.... but I'm doing a cheap little Cowboys set from '94 Ted Williams Card Co. and this is one of the cards. Quite possibly my favorite Staubach card of them all!!

Nicwe card!!!! One of my favorite cards of all time!!! Partly because 1966 Topps is the first baseball set I remember as a kid and Fergie in a Phillies uniform was really unique.

Edit: I just looked this up and the other guy on this card, Bill Sorrell, was the 10,000th player in MLB history.

The amount of useless, old school sports trivia from me is really astounding!!! To quote Donald Trump "Nobody has ever seen anything like it before!", LMAO!!!

"It's really quite beautiful, really."

Swwet! I "heart" the old Kelloggs cards. Just wish they were easier to store and did not curl.
I just put them in top loads.........Have a bunch of the cracked ones but only PC the decent looking ones.........Have an almost complete set of the '73's that are the paper ones........We were too poor, as kids, to get Kellogg's cereal, so I mostly started from scratch; we ate the "Inferio's" as children.........

Didn't believe it 'till I saw it on TV. Absolutely amazing!! And he was able to field grounders as well.

I've always thought Abbott never got anywhere near the credit for what he accomplished with his MAJOR disability. Compare what he accomplished to what any of us did being 100% healthy and what he did is even more impressive. And yet most people view his career as BFD. Certainly he can't rate with today's pitchers that cannot go past 5 innings without having to take a nap.

Here is someting that'll blow your mind. He was the starting QB for Flint Central and took his team to the Class A state playoff semifinals. and Class A is the largest school division in Michigan. I doubt he was a rich kid as he went to Flint public schools...........talk abut mean streets it was Flint until GM left and the area became seriously depopulated; For decades Flint was a gold mine of athletic talent and Jim Abbott with one hand started at QB for one of their huge schools. I could not be more impressed with this guy.

Good solid middle of the rotation pitcher. Great competitor. A credit to the Angels, one of the worst organizations in MLB.

I've been away from cards for a bit. Hoping to post more soon.
Cheers

I'm not sure if there were any off brand cereals when I was a kid, Seems like there was only Post and Kellogg's unlike today where every grocery chain has their own in house brands (ie: WalMart/Great Value).

I know everyone here likes to brag about what they pulled from packs like low serial numbered, certified autographs, cards with 20 adjectives in their name and of course the much sought after game used underroos. But back in the day..........the day in this case was 1970,,,,,,,I pulled a Bobby Murcer from the 1970 Kelloggs Corn Flakes box. It was like hitting the lottery because even though the Yankees were terrible, Bobby Murcer was the golden boy for most of the kids from the mean streets of South New Berlin, NY. I took that bad boy on the bus and traded it for a small fortune in cards.....multiple Willie Horton cards most likely. And that was the start of my card empire!

And if you think I'm kidding about the mean streets of South New Berlin, just try to trade a PINK card there and you'll be sent packing most likely with a few lumps on your head!!!

If it makes you feel any better, no one in my family wants to challenge me in any trivia, much less sports trivia or especially baseball trivia...

Up for a challenge? HAHAHAHAHA
