Doesn't seem that way looking on ebay...
Maybe a mid 60s card would
I never noticed that before but on baseball cards I really never took note of the other players in the shot unless it was a Playoff/World Series card.. On the other hand, I always noticed the "other guys' in football and basketball cards. Topps must have shot their pictures from the Washington Bullets home games as HOFers Elvin Hayes and Wes Unseld appear in a ton of late 70s cards.

The big case of this is Ryne Sandberg on Reggie Smith's 1983 card. There is a premium for that one, but the only one I can think of

I once thought i was going to try to collect cards with cameo players in the background, there are quite a few out there, some i'm sure i didn't even know about. I know i have one somewhere, but here is a pic of the 1971 Topps Bud Harrelson with Nolan Ryan on the mound looking towards 2nd base.

Just did a quick search for Mets v. Giants in 1970 at Shea in daylight.........

https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/NYN/NYN197005100.shtml

Bonds stole 2nd off Ryan..........
Wow! Great job Metsman! That was a great find.

I looked at the box score and Juan Marichal had a rough outing that day giving up 7 earned runs. But he threw a complete game. I don't think he went up to the manager and said he was at his pitch count and needed to come out to take a nap.

Rougher outing for Ryan who only lasted 3 and a third giving up 7 earned runs and took the L. If Ryan threw the ball hard to home plate instead of his usual soft tossing, Bonds may have been thrown out at 2nd, Just think what he could have become if he learned to throw a fastball and quit throwing those junk balls!! Wuss.

So our chat about "The Wiz" from Seinfeld got me looking on ebay for stuff from the show... had to get this when I saw it. Same size as a cigarette card. Very well made, doesn't look or feel cheap at all... a classic episode for sure. But then again, most of them are memorable for one reason or another. I present to you......

Nice, I would love a George sleeping under the desk bobblehead but not for the price they were selling for on ebay last year.

Ahh that's the episode Jerry has the cabinets put in by the overzealous craftsman... Steinbrenner thinks George's clock is a bomb...
Ya I've watched that series waaaay too many times.lol but I never wanted any merch from the show. The Kramer tobacco card was too good to pass up though.
There is one item I'd love to have. It's like a yearbook of all the people that worked on the show that was only given to a limited number of people. 350 were made. Just type "Seinfeld yearbook" in and the first listing is one of them.

You may be shocked to find out that I have never seen a single episode of "Seinfeld". Because I'm special like that. LOL

However my brother, who is 7 years younger than I am, also thought The Wiz was a fictitional thing from Seinfeld and he grew up watching the same stuff I did, So you were not the only person to believe the Wiz was just a made up Seinfeld thing. Seems like Metsman1986 and I are the only men of culture to know The Wiz was real.

Here is an old commercial for them with the classic The Wiz theme song.

Question. If you took a leak on a Wiz store would that be considered taking a wiz on The Wiz? Inquiring mind wants to know.
