Ya I got it in my Beckett, just curious why it says '94 Rookie on the card but '92 was his rookie year (according to Beckett and their listings)
A lot of the card companies used to label their cards as RCs if it was their first card of the player. They never paid any attention to the Beckett's definition of RC. Even now I see people label non rcs as RCs on their trade lists A prime example of this is Mike Piazza's 1993 cards which constantly get labeled that way when in fact his actual RC is 1992 Bowman.

In 2006 Topps made an Alex Gordon card (RC logo) and he never played in a MLB game...........Some full sized cards made it to packs and some were cut out in the middle and various other versions...........My opinion: Topps up to their usual gimmicks..........Those cards are super expensive and leave a gap in a set that people like me HATE.........I think '06 was the first year of the "true" RC..........

I'm 99% sure that card is card #297 (subject to double checking). i only know that because I've seen it so many times on want lists as the only card people need for the 2006 set.\\

Off to see if I'm right.

I think you are right.........Heritage had one as well..........
HaHa! I checked and I was right. 2006 Topps is the most recent complete baseball set I have so it was one of the few issues from this Century I am familiar with.. I have a couple of 2007 and 2008 football sets but that is as modern as I get.

2006! It just occured to me that was two decades ago! Holy crap am I old!!!

Probably because at time a rookie card was your first official licensed card. Manny made his debut that year so that is why he is listed as a rookie. The whole Alex Gordon situation changed all of that, for better or worse.

Heres one for you football guys!

Very nice! That guy is in the Hall of Fame as a player and could be inducted as an executive as well since he was the long time GM of the Ravens during their successful run. I don;t know if it is allowed but I say induct him again!

Is there going to be a Paul Warfield autograph coming soon? Football guys demand it! LOL
