Ironic I misspelled the word misspell. Just noticed that...

I was thinking that but baseball terms were so proper. I didn't think they'd go to using the word whiff... "And that's 6 whiffs for Skenes through 5 innings..."
Somebody dove into a thesaurus for strikeout....."whiff" and "fanned" must have been at the top of the list!

I have no idea what this disc books for but it is a REALLY cool item. Book value is not the only factor that makes collecting enjoyable. Half Century old items like this of an A-List HOFer are. And yet 99% of collectors will have zero interest in something like this because it is not Ohtani, Judge, Trout............or whatever players are the flavor of the month.

Wanna take a wild guess at it's Beckett Value??? I'll give you a hint... Walter Payton (SP) - $15, Roger Staubach - $4

Not even close my friend... 60 cents
You gotta be kidding? That's insane.

The fact that the short printed Walter Payton is only $15 should have tippped me off. There were only 4 Walter Payton items produced in 1976......his Topps RC, and discs by Crane, Saga and Pepsi which all have the same picture of him on it. Nothing was made of him before 1976. And yet 99% of collectors would walk right by one of those discs at a show for $15 figuring there were better buys of new cards with 12 adjetives in their description.

60 cents! Holy.................!!!!

Yup... if there were more HOFers or Cowboys in the set Id go for it. Love these discs!

i remember getting some discs in i think holsum bread in the early 80's (80 or 81) and i know they did a lot of those in that late 70s early 80s. At an antique store here in Milwaukee I saw some rather large discs that were similar but they wanted like 80 bucks for the whole set. Which was decent but not in the budget....hahaha

I like the size of these. Just a cool promo oddball item. I may try getting the Walter Payton, but that would be it... I saw today there's also a baseball set of Crane's Discs from '76. Now that set has some HOFers!!

MSA produced those odd ball discs.........They only had a license with the players unions and not the leagues......I have a set of the 1978 Pepsi glove discs that they use to stick in the 8 packs of pop.....

Pop was the big term in Michigan. I like you guys with the Coke thing. What kind of Coke do you want? (Fill in type here), Most people here say Soda but I always say Coke.
