I've never seen those before. There was lots of cool oddball stuff in the 70s, 80s and 90s but I'm not sure that carried over into the 2000s.

OK I have a couple of questions on this. Is this an actual 1976 Topps baseball card that Topps put the 50th anniversary stamp on or is it a reprint? And was this inserted in packs or did you have to send away for it?
I realize I am showing total ignorance on new cards but as they say "Ignorance is bliss" and I'm a pretty happy person. LMAO!!

OK now wait. Does this means Topps buys 1976 origianl cards back from people? And if so, how do they know they are not getting beaters?

That im not sure how it works. I had gotten a couple in the 2014 hobby box I got, but not sure how they pick the condition

Ya'll hear about the redemption for the graded '52 Topps Mantle that was pulled not too long ago? Redemption card up for auction, it seems... not the actual card. Why not wait till you get the card from topps then put it up for auction? Not like it's gunna depreciate in value, and if you announce the discovery of the redemption you raise more hype by saying the card will be auctioned, not the redemption. I feel like the person who pulled it is making a very clumsy decision. Didn't say what the grade is or who graded it, but ya... crazy that's gunna be given away by Topps....

OUCH! I guess this answers the condition requirements (or lack there of) for these Topps Buy Backs!
Think I've been very fortunate on the condition of the ones i have pulled.....
