Tuesday guess 63.

Man oh man, I actually remember Bob Love playing with the Bulls in the 1970s. he other forward was Chet Walker, the guards were Jerry Sloan and Norm Van Lier and the Center was Clifford Ray (I think). I was not even a Bulls fan and I still remember that which means........I am old! I even remember a few of the backups too like Dennis Awtry and Tom Bowerwinkle.

And I probably can name three current Bulls at most. I think I am living in the past! LOL

Thanks you for the contest and have a Happy New Year!

Well that is a walk down memory lane, those were some classic teams! My aunt actually dated Clifford Ray briefly, our family is originally from the Chicago area, though I am not sure how they ended up together!

Thanks for the bit of trivia, and enjoy the contest, everyone keep the guesses rollin' in! One per member per day!

God Bless,

Kevin

In honor of the aforementioned Clifford Ray, I'll choose 14, his uniform number when he was with the Bulls. And I must admit, I did have to look that up! LOL

Things I do remember about Clifford Ray. His beard. Him being a defense and rebounding specialist. And when he got the ball in the low post he used to pinwheel the ball around in one hand until he found someone to pass to or make a move to the basket. That was quite a visual back in the day.

things I forgot about Clifford Ray. That he want to college at Oklahoma and the fact he was the starting center on the Golden State Warriors 1975 NBA championship team that swept my beloved Bullets 4-0 in the finals. I am shocked I forgot he was the center on that team.

I didnt realize he was an NBA champion at any time, I just remembered that he played for the Bulls years ago....very cool trivia, Metal, thanks for posting! Fun to have some cool stuff added into our contest thread, thanks for making it interesting!!

Well, in honor of Clifford Ray, I was going to choose his Golden State Warrior jersey number but 44 was already taken so I'll reverse his Bulls jersey number and select 41 instead.

Funny how I remember him as a Bull even though he only played with them 3 seasons while I totally forgot he played with the Warriors and he played 7 seasons with that team!! He was also a major cog for the championship team as he was second only to Rick Barry in minutes played in the 1975 NBA Finals. With the Bullets having two HOF big men in Wes Unseld and Elvin Hayes and the Warriors being undersized it makes perfect sense they would play Mr. Ray heavy minutes in that shocking series.

Thanks again for the fun contest!
