They are 4.25" x 6.25"

My dad thinks he only sent away once and thinks it was later than 1960. I also have an odd amount 47 so maybe this is a combination of different years although my dad does not think so. On the back of the Kilmer it says "Led nation in total offense last year as a single wing tailback at UCLA." So maybe that means this is 1962 since he was drafted in 61 or 1961 for that matter? Likely not 59 or 60 at this point.

Is there a checklist for 61 or 62? Also don’t have a Tittle his last season was 60 with the niners. My guess is 61. Let me know anyone can find a checklist.

Because of the Kilmer photo, I am thinking what you might have is inserts from 49er game programs for at least some of them. According to TCDB, Billy Kilmer did not have a team issued photo and 1962 was his first collectible issue. Ckick on 1962 and 1963 on the link below and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Interesting. See the Kilmer attached. Does not look like any of what you listed. All of what I have look like the 59 and 60 sets. Is it possible they did something similar for 61 or 62? I do not see much about that.

Interesting I’m confused then. Not sure what I have.

I'm not sure either.

I think your best bet is to look and keep looking on EBAY for any 49er home game programs from 1959, 1960 and 1961 to see if you can match any of your photos to what is in those programs. I'm leaning heavily that you have those or a combination of those and the 1959 and 1960 49er team issued photos. For instance, Jerry Tubbs went in the expansion draft to the Cowboys in 1960 so that phoio is from 1959. Judging from the info on the back of Kilmer's photo that would be a 1961. I wish TCDB showed miore photos of the 1959 and 160 sets but they only had a handfull.

Interesting. Are you interested in what I have? I will have to check with my dad to see what he wants to do, but it may make a different if he knows someone is interested.
I am interested but we'd have to get a definate identification on these. I'll keep looking for more info even if I don't acquire them as I'm rather obsessed with vintage football so researching these is kind of a labor of love.

Sounds good to me. My dad is convinced that he only sent away for one set. He kept in envelope for years until now. He doesn’t think it’s multiple sets but not sure what that means.

I did more research on this over the weekend and still not sure what I have. The more I look the more confused I get. I am going to Anaheim for a conference next month. Wondering if I should bring them a long and bring them in a couple of shops to see if they would know? Just a thought. Not sure I want to travel with them though.

I don't think I'd take these on a trip as they could get damaged. 99.99% of the card stores will have no idea (or interest) in these as their emphasis will be on the brand new material. What I would do is look for a large regional card show that would have some high level vintage dealers attending. That could be your best bet.

Another thought is looking for vintage card Facebook sites which there appear to be a lot of. My brother is on several and he has ad a lot of success selling and getting information on older cards. I'm not Facebook person but I'd have to assume that there are specific vintage football groups online which would even be better.

I don't know if you did this already but have you matched any of your photos with the pictures on the two checklists I posted? I know there are only a few pictures on those checklists but I was wondering if any of those matched your photos both front and back?

Don't know if you saw that John Brodie passed away this weekend at 90. I was surprised to find out he started his 49er career in 1957 after researching thiese photos. That was 3 or 4 years earlier than I had thought, What a mainstay he was for football card collectors for about 12 or 13 years in the 60s and 70s.
