His rookie year was '94 but this card has Rookie on it. Beckett doesn't list it as a RC, TCDB doesn't have it on the list of Rookies for the set. So am I to assume Topps messed up here, or is this really a RC?

It's a shame... nice card!
For some reason Marshall Faulk's cards are always in low demand. It might be because of the decade long dominance of Emmitt and Barry at the same position. It is probably because it is those two followed by "the rest" which would include Faulk, Bettis, Martin, T. Davis etc

A couple of years ago I asked a long time collector who started collecting in the Emmitt/Barry era if he ever thought he'd see the day where no one wanted running backs cards since the game is so QB orientated. He agreed he'd never thought he'd see that. Everything at our LCS was Mahomes, Brady, Burrow, Herbert, Tua and the rest. Oh geez how could I have forgotten Josh Allen here in upstate NY?

Ya RBs are pretty much a dime a dozen now. They have such a short shelf life. I don't think Emmitt's record will ever be broken just for that reason alone. Even WRs aren't staying in the league as long. So goes it. I think the money has something to do with it too. Why stay in the league risking injury after already being paid so much when you were a hot commodity. I think that may be a big reason why Aaron Donald retired today...

Faulk didn’t have a card in 94 Finest so while it’s a second year card, it’s his finest “rookie” or debut card. I bet a refractor version would look great

Agreed! Love those early refractors with the background and other colors other than a colored border

Well luckily Faulk did not suffer the same fate as Lou Piniella. He was in a Topps Rookie Stars card in 1964, 1968 and 1969. And in 1970 Topps he was on a solo card with the Topps Rookie Cup logo. FINALLY Lou's 6 year, 4 team (Senators, Indians, Pilots, Royals)rookie tenure had ended!!.

I just realized that 3 of the 4 teams he showed up on as a rookie star have changed names or locations. Only the Royals are stiil around in their original location and name. IF only he could have gone to the Expos on his last move it would have been a grand slam!!!

Kind of like the Trout Heritage........
Or '13 Archives for FB. They were released in mid '13 but the '12 rookies (Luck/RGIII/Wilson) don't have any stats from their first year on the back. They should have marketed them as '12. Actually, I just looked it up, there are NO RCs in that set. Alot of SP/VAR cards though... time to get lookin'!

Well, have pretty much the entire set, but no SP's. I do have the Mike Williams UER card. It says he's Tight End instead of Wide Receiver on front. And I guess the cards after #200 are "fan faves" they put out. I have Brent Jones, Stump Mitchell, Al Toon, and Curt Warner. Can't see them in a set where NFL HOF's are pictured. There's a card for Clyde Simmons (??) that looks like a '92 Topps. Just doesn't fit with the rest of the main set's theme. I guess that's pretty cool, except they only have 2 Cowboys... Too Tall and Rocket Ismail. MORE COWBOYS!!!
