9-5 for the Dodgers, and just one minor injury. No disappointments, but may have to tweak my strategy a bit. Made no changes this sim, so didn't export.

Tonights Sim will take us through Spring Training and will stop on 3/31/07. After tonight sim you will want to shrink your active roster back to 25 players.

Food for thought!!!!!

Just a side note to everyone...

We all got these awesome AAA and AA players that
we have all assigned to our MLB teams.. Just a note,
any of these players that have over 3 yrs of MLB service
are do arbitration and could potentially draw a salary
of $450,000 to $10 million dollars.. So financially a lot more
teams are going to fall into the RED after this sim...
Cory, Nick, and James have all stressed this issue and
I just want to bring it back to everyone attention again!!

That is why I found it necessary to trade 1B David Ortiz( my
#1 pick) to the Marlin( who had the salary room.) to free myself
of this future problem.. Don't be afraid to make trades or
wait to long to make the deal that will help you in the future
development of your team.. Just my food for thought of the day!!

Good luck everyone and Let's have a great season!! Kendall

Thanks, I was wondering about how that would work and when we'd see salaries for these guys. It probably didn't sink in the first time I heard it!

Are they due arbitration this year before the season or at the end of this year?

The tough part is that only a couple of teams have significant room to take on salary. I doubt they'll be generous enough to take on too much salary unless they get premium prospects in return. Unfortunately, I don't have any of those!

Guess we'll see how it shakes out after this next SIM or two. Hopefully the trading picks up though!

I don't even know how the CPU will handle this one....I THINK that the players will be assigned minimum salary this season and go to arbitration the following year (if eligible). None of my tests involved created players on top of the real-life counterparts on the first season (as it was not intended to create them, but once it did we had no way to get rid of them)

My AAA stud has 0 major league experience and has 3 option years left

He will probably be at the league minimum...

I am talking about the stud players that are 27-32 years old and have
4-7 years MLB service... I know that my CF Jacobs arbitration estimate
has $12.6M... I signed him to a contract extension just in case he would
have gotten the arbitration amount.
