I have yet to come accross any of the 2 other #'d /15 versions that I still need for my rainbow. Now it looks like I'll have some competition

That's funny, the same three.
You know a lot of the tougher ripken stuff gets locked up in collections like mine and yours so it could be a very very long time before we even see one of the others for sale.
Well it's actually not much of a story except that I thought I had let a good deal slip away and then I got a second chance.
Seller on ebay had these listed with a bin of $300. I asked a question about them and he told me they were already sold (wahhhhh). Couple days later he emails me back saying the buyer had backed out (yayyyyy) and they were mine if I wanted them. After my buys this year of allen and ginter's and 05 baseball heroes cases I really couldn't afford it but after seeing this auction http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=110295993765&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=001 I just couldn't pass them up !
That was a sweet deal getting a chance to lock in 3 in one crack like that.
I have a bit more than that in mine.
I have noticed a couple of cards circulating lately that I thought would never surface again. I think there could be some economy backlash going on. And prices have softened. Good time to add to your collection. Carry on! Thanks for sharing.

I believe most of you have seen these already but wanted to post them on this thread. Amazing stuff everyone has. My contribution is more modest but I enjoy having these cards in my HOF auto/GU collection. One of these may be for trade towards (preferably) 1 or 2 other good HOF autos.
2000 Upper Deck Pros and Prospects Game Jersey Autograph #CR Cal Ripken $150.00 (was an eBay find from this past summer):
2007 Ultimate Collection Ultimate Iron Man Signatures #UIM6 Cal Ripken Jr. #4/8 $250.00 (cost me a Koufax Significant Sigs in trade but it was worthwhile ):

Just got this one in today:
2005 Fleer Showcase Autographed Legacy 01/53 Inscribed "Iron Man"
This is the only Ripken pack pulled auto card I've ever seen with an Iron Man inscription. Big Al, have you ever seen any other inscriptions? I saw a few of your autos with inscriptions but no Iron Man (I think).

Aaron- I believe there was one more Fleer patch auto that had the auto and inscription on it. There also was an Absolute auto that was just signed IRONMAN but had no auto.

Ripken had an exclusive with Upperdeck for 2007 and that has ended. So get ready for Ripken in everything this year.
