Quick question~

Can you add a Buy It Now option to an auction that already has a bid on it?

You can't, right?

I had someone contact me about purchasing an item that is up for auction. I told him that I wouldn't end the auction early due to the fact that there were 2 bids on the item already.

He contacted me a second time and told me that I could add a Buy It Now option and he would pay me right away.

The only way I think that this can be done is by cancelling the two bids on the item.

Am I correct in my thinking?

If he is making an offer like that, you could always make him place a bid high enough to become the highest bidder and then cancel it I guess.

I told him to bid on the item and chances are that he'll get it for less than he offered me. I'm just not comfortable canceling bids. Hate when people do it to me.
