Clearing Private Messages question

I would like this kept up regularly somewhere.
I need to clean out my private messages, but I only have 8 messages.
I deleted the rest, but they are somewhere in my inbox.
I can't send or receive any due to this.

Did you check your sent messages? Those count as well so there might be some in there.
