Do player collectors like printing plates?

I think i have 7-8 bagwell plates now. I get excited when they come up for sale, which isn't that often, though i tend not to spend as much for them as i spend for a low #'d auto or nice patch.

I have a few Lindstrom plates. You would drive yourself crazy if you tried to collect them all. They are nice if I find one at a reasonable price, but not necessary for my collection. Correction: I have 2.

I don't mind printing plates in my Luke Hughes collection and I treat them as 1/1s when buying them but there are way too many in my opinion. I would say over 35% of Hughes' cards are 1/1s but probably closer to 50%. I do set a lower price limit on them than non-plate 1/1s, but I do treat them as one card added to my collection and always try to snatch them up.
