Hi,

So, this is my first post in years...

I can see that I tried to sell some cards back in 2022, but it looks like I haven't made a trade since 2018. Regardless, I'm pretty sure I haven't bought any new product since 2015.

I'm thinking about dipping my toe back into trading, but I'm not sure. I'm skeptical that I'm going to be able to make worthwhile trades without buying new product... which I'm not sure I want to do. I already have a ridiculous quantity of cards, mostly stuff from 2001-2015.

How does the activity on the site compare to, say, ten years ago? What does shipping for a small padded yellow envelope go for now? Is there anyone still around that remembers trading with me? If I was going to buy new product, what are people trading?

I've been in a baseball funk ever since the Sox traded Mookie... but the Sox' unexpectedly strong season (and a World Series for the ages) has me looking through my cards again.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Best,
Trevor

Trading has dropped off a lot here since you left. Bubble mailer up to 4oz will run $5. For cheap trades i do a lot of pwe deals. Boxes are so expensive not much gets busted like it used to. If you have my team/players I'm sure we can do some trading.

Trevor,
I haven't traded with you, I'm too new I guess, and I'm the opposite in terms of modern card purchasing with my set building starting in 2021. That said, I'm sure I could find a trade with you for some pre 2015 if you wanted post 2021 stuff.
Postage keeps going up and the last hikewas a near killer until I found out about Pirate Ship - bubble mailers that were costing + $7 noe cost in the + $4 range. You just need to invest in a postage scale (Walmart $20 or so) and have a printer.
Anyway, hope to see you around and make a trade or two.

I remember trading with you, my story is similar except for the Mookie part, LOL. I don't buy new stuff and I can't seem to trade much in the vintage up to 2016 range. Of course most of my stuff has been cherry-picked so I offer thousands and thousands of commons up for set builders but either older set building isn't much of a thing or everyone has finished their vintage sets.

Happy to try to make a trade with you, I've ditched my player PCs for finishing up old sets and trying to scrounge up some money to grade some of my favorite legacy pieces in my collection.

Welcome back. I have been in a baseball funk since the Braves moved out of Boston. And I was also upset when the Mets got rid of Mookie Wilson, so I hear 'ya!

I've noticed a very big drop off in activity here.recently. It seems a noticable dropoff in activity has occured here in the last 6 months or so. Not sure why that is, although postage I'm sure has a lot to do with it. I'd say 90+% of the trades are current or recent year cards which totally eliminates me from 90-95% of the potential trades.

When it comes to postage the only way to soften the blow is very small (PWE) trades or higher value trades. The mid sized trades in terms of number of cards or low value are not a good way to spend your postage money. I try to make trades that will be 10X the value of what the postege will be.

Hi, Trevor. It's great to see you around once again! You are one of my favorite trading partners of all time on this site!

Hey Trevor........If you're into sparkly stuff, buy new product.........Topps Heritage this year (which Fanatics owns) has a least 10-12 different parallels of each card..........Plus, like mentioned above, the costs of postage and new unopened product, ridiculous........Seems like most folks are looking for the hot rookies; some things haven't changed at least.............
