How do you handle too many cards??

One thing I see some people do is try and sell them at local auctions. I go to one in Belchertown, MA and sometimes there are cards there. My mom goes to quite a few in Ohio and she says that she sees cards for sale all the time. At one auction there were a bunch of hand collated sets form the late 80's (1989 Topps, 1990 Fleer and Donruss and such) and she told me that most of them went for at least 15.00 each. I told her that those people were crazy for paying that much for those sets and do not get any for me. But to each their own I guess. Every once in a while you will see someone on here who will be looking for some of that stuff but those threads are few and far between and they are jumped on very quickly. My suggestion would be to see if there are any local auctions in your area and give it a try. I would guess that the way you package them would be a key as to what you would get. My guess would be to organize them in maybe 800 count boxes and list what they are (ie "1990 Topps complete set").

Whatever you decide please let us know and let us know if it works out. I think a lot of us are in the same boat as to trying to figure out what to do with the massive amounts of this stuff that a lot of us have.
