Did I have a great afternoon.Let me explain I was out running ssome errands for myself and on the way home I saw a sigh for an auction. I just stopped by to see what it was all about seeing its been awhile since I have been to one. Well the auction started at 4.00 which i didnt know and it began with a box lot I ended up getting 7 antique wooden shafts golf clubs
for 15 dollars(some prizes for the golf tournament for the first place winners) then they started the big auction at 5.00 pm Anyway to make this short there was a box of cards being auctioned off and I took a glance and there was some nice cards in the box from the 60,s and 70,s So I planned on bidding on them but they were not being auctioned til almst the end of the auction .There were a bunch of people looking at them I figured boy I am in trouble Well anyway I ended up placing the winning bid I gothe box for 25.00 Well in the box was a nr mt 1973 topps rookie card # 615 yep Mike Schmidt,s rookie card also some 1948 cards then JIm Katt rookie card, and this card of Dick Groat, Roberto Clemente, Wille Mays and Norm Larker a Herb Score 1960 card Bob Gibson Bob Veale and Don Drydale card Tom Seaver, Fergie Jenkins AL Downing and Steve Carlton card Plus some books from race track in Tauton Mass dog track in mt condition from 1941 and 1942 and 1944 The dog track is no longer there and an Auto of the Mayor of Boston in 1973.
