hey guys, I need your advice please. i just sold a ton of crap on ebay to an international buyer. What type of International shipping should I use that comes with tracking info that I can upload to ebay so the buyer cant say they never received the items. maybe a flat rate envelope? anything that comes with tracking info that is sufficient for ebay in case the buyer claims "i never got the items, i want a refund!" thanks guys for your help with this.. I appreciate it.

If they are paying with paypal, you're pretty much out of luck if they are international and claim it didn't arrive. I will only sell to US and Canada. I used to sell worldwide, but too many people abused the system and claimed no receipt when there isn't a delivery confirmation service overseas (rightfully so).

Not certain, but possibly if it is a flat you're sending, you could do both certified and registered mail. I would recommend a LOT of research as to where you are sending it.

unless they've changed it again recently , last fall pay pal started allowing you to print your first class and flat rate priority international labels and customs forms from home and at that time the customs declaration forms DID serve as tracking that was covered by pay pal and ebay.....prior to that , they only allowed you to print labels via pay pal if you were upgrading to global express (or another high-priced option whose name i forget at the moment) .....i really enjoyed the convenience of being able to print all my first class international labels at home and not having to stand in line at the PO to merely have the customs form stamped but i admit after the january 27th international rate increase i have (at least temporarily) ceased all international sales.....

Its a shame what is happening to us international buyers and traders. Hard to find traders these days and i am thininking of giving in. Shame really as we have the same costs the other way....

thanks guys for your responses, i appreciate it. I must say every single international collector i have dealt with on this site has been amazing, no problems at all. just great to deal with. international buyers on ebay to me are a total different thing. i had one buyer ask me to mark the customs form down from $400 down to $100 and to NOT include ANY type of paperwork or invoice in the package (he even had the nerve to request this in writing)(he sent me a letter in the mail requesting this. i just refunded his money and said even though some ebay sellers might gamble with the govt and postal inspectors and hope to not get caught, i wont do such an illegal thing and that it is a crime in the usa to lie/falsify a customs form. the buyer who bought 10 items from me then left me 10 negative feedbacks. i called ebay to have the feedback removed and they had me fax the letter the buy sent me asking to commit illegal acts and ebay removed the feedback and closed the buyers account. i just cant believe the balls of some people to ask sellers in the us to lie so they can save on paying customs fees!

interesting customs just tried to charge me 30 dollars for an 8 buck card. I refused as sick of them trying to get money out of me. Had one last year 50 dollars for a 5 buck card even though all forms were filled out correct......
