So I went back over to the Twins Rehab complex yesterday, still trying to get Jim Thome. Anyway, Thome denied me, and a few others, again. So I walk around back and saw a Black Mercedes, and a few others, mostly dealers, noticed. Dealers are guys who will instantly put everything up on Ebay. So a while later Mauer comes out and says "Are you all waiting for me?"- Seriously, he was shocked. And he signed for us, then another dealer asked him to sign like 4 bats, and he did, so I asked him to sign a card (2010 Topps Heritage) and Joe said that he had never seen that card, and asked if he could keep it. So, of course, I gave it to him ,and he signed a 2011 Topps card for me.
I probably wont go over there again, b/c last I heard, all the dealers in town where there to make a buck.
*Sorry, nothing is FT, all will be in my collection.

Great job, now you just gotta get Jim "Everyone's Homie" Thome!

(If you change your mind and go back, I got a spare Miguel Cabrera card or two to deal straight up for a Mauer)

Great story. Congrats on the pickups...too bad the dealers sometimes ruin IP auto opportunities for the genuine collectors. -Chad
