Magglio Ordonez TTM info

I sent to Magglio Ordonez at spring training knowing it would be a longshot to get a signed card back. Today I got my card back unsigned
I did get the info on how to get a card signed. I got the letter (below) with the address and price list. I will probably go ahead and do the $20 donation so I can have the refractor signed for my set. After all it is for a good cause and he will match whatever you donate. I thought I would share this info for anyone that wants to donate and get something signed.

Last year I did the same thing w/ Miguel Cabrera and I got my card signed.

Autographs for a Cause

In an effort to support the metro-Detroit community, several Tigers players are partnering with the Detroit Tigers Foundation in a program called Autographs for a Cause. Through this program, players will sign baseball cards and / or photographs through the mail in exchange for a donation to the Detroit Tigers Foundation, the club's official charity. All of the funds collected through this program will be donated to charitable organizations supported by the players. At the end of the year, all of the money raised through the program will be matched by the players and donated to their charity of choice. Below are the participating players, required donations and benefiting charitable organizations / programs:

Fans that wish to participate in the Autographs for a Cause Program should send their baseball cards or photographs (not larger than 8x10) along with check or money order (made payable to the DETROIT TIGERS FOUNDATION), and self-addressed stamped envelope to the following address:

Fans should keep in mind there is some risk involved in putting an item in the mail. Although reasonable precautions will be taken, the Detroit Tigers organization, its players, staff and Foundation are not responsible if an item is lost or damaged. Please allow four to six weeks for your item(s) to be signed and do not send items other than baseball cards or photographs, as they will be returned to you unsigned.

Additionally, please note Autographs for a Cause is a seasonal program that concludes each year at the end of the Major League Baseball regular season. Items that arrive after the final autograph session will be returned unsigned as the roster of participating players, required donations and benefiting charitable organizations changes from season to season.
