In all fairness, Donruss' website doesn't mention anything about the Director's Cut autos as being "cut" autos (as we collectors know it).
Director's Cut is just a borrowed term signifying a relationship to TV and Movie stars.
I feel the cards are not meant to imply a cut auto, but just autos from actors.
