On Topps of the world

Fernando Valenzuela signed a 1983 Topps card for me in blue Sharpie. But what I don't understand is why he marked through the Topps logo with the Sharpie.

Anyway, a great pick up from a Cy Young award winner.

I think they were actually asking if you had a scan of the card so we could all see it. Not whether the card was a scan.

He puts a mark through the Topps logo because for some reason he won't sign Topps cards I believe. I remember seeing a few things on the matter but can't really remember specifics.

card shop by me has an 83 topps ttm/ip of fernando but i don't think the topps is marked out....
