Hi all,

I have a Pay Pal account which I use to buy cards on EBAY. I've never sold cards and then accepted payment into my Pay Pal account. Is this hard to do? How is this actually done? Is it hard? Wondering does the selling price actually go right into your bank account or onto your credit card (minus teh fees). Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Chris

When someone makes a payment via paypal it goes into your paypal account. You can then make a "withdrawl" to your bank account.

Would it work the same if you tie your Pay Pal account to a credit card? Or, could you simply just turn around and spend the value in your Pay Pal account?
Thanks again!!
Chris

You can apply for a Paypal debit/credit card which i have so when i sell something on ebay or the bench i can make purchases or withdraws using my paypal card

You can make withdraws to your bank normally takes 3-4 business days or you can request a paypal check 7-10 business days

If i need money in my checking account i go to the bank with my paypal card and ask them to withdraw money from my PayPal account in my case it has to be $25+
and they apply it into my checking account beats waiting 3-4 business days.

In my account, if anyone pays me, it is deposited as a paypal balance. Because anything in there will get spent soon, I have never tried to pull it out via a withdrawal. The next time you buy something with a balance, the balance will go out first, then the rest charged on your credit card.

It's as easy as giving someone your paypal address to receive payments. One thing you might have to consider is what type of account you have though. Back in the day (and it may be different now), you could only accept so much with a personal account before you had to switch to a business account to receive more money.

Also jsyk if you are a new seller on Ebay, pay pal HOLDS all funds from sales until your buyers leave feedback, or you can prove the items have been received by the buyers.

How does the seller get the $$ into his/her PayPal account? Is there a unique number and how is this protected?

When someone pays you all they do is enter your email addy.

You might want to consider going to paypal and reading the faq.
